![]() ![]() Viewed side by side, it might be tough to distinguish Company of Heroes 2 from its predecessor. IGN gave the game an 8.4/10 and came to the same conclusion I did: The game has received good reviews since day one from both professional critics and users alike: The bottom line, CoH2 is a terrific game, and I’m not the only one who thinks so. If you’re more into online play, the game also features competitive and cooperative multiplayer (Mac-to-Mac only). Plus, Company of Heroes 2 moved out of the tired battles we know too well (Battle of Normandy, anyone?) and featured an intense single-player campaign that reenacts some of the infamous battles led by the Red Army on the Eastern Front. The sequel brought a new engine with much better graphics, an improved physics engine, dynamic weather, and much more. It was hard to imagine how a sequel could significantly improve upon the legendary Company of Heroes, but CoH2 delivered. ArtĬompany of Heroes 2 on Mac: Everything you need to know They may decide they don't want to promote it but I think it would be strange if they shut it down just for asking.Apple promised Metal would be a game-changer, but this was the first time we saw the improvements first-hand on an existing game. It is clear that itbis is known by the developers. My final thought is that if they had an issue with the mod it would be shut down by now. There could be an implication for sega/relic if they are seen to be allowing unlicensed IP in a mod. Not really sure where you would stand on that one. There is one other aspect that i can think off, and that is the inclusion of extra GW IP in the mod that wasn't in the original. The flip side is they may feel it may draw people away from other titles e.g. One argument is that it will promote and sell more copies and if the modders are not making money off the IP then you would think that there would be no problems an they might support it. I guess the question is whether they are going to suffer or fear suffering financial loss. ![]() From a little internet reading it would appear that any mod is a copyright infringement. For point one it seeks Sega/relic would hold the cards. ![]()
